Meet our Dai Si Gung
At the age of five he began his life long journey into Shaolin Kung Fu. His grandfather believed in the traditional values of Chinese culture known as "Wen Wu." Wen denotes scholarly pursuits and Wu means martial arts. Shi Kuang Feng's education in the martial arts was fully supported by his family, and he began his training in Wushu and Kung Fu at age 5. He demonstrated a natural ability, excelling in Shaolin Kung Fu and perfecting his five major weapons (staff, spear, sword, broadsword, and tiger hook swords) at an early age. He was also encouraged by his grandfather to cultivate Wen, so he studied Chan Buddhism and Toaism. Shi Kuang Feng began his training at the Shaolin Temple in 1984. Shi Kuang Feng was fortunate enough to be accepted as a student by two 35th generation Shaolin Temple Monks. Master Ven Gu Lien instructed him on martial arts while Master Shi De Yan taught him Chan Buddhism and Taoism. In 1985, Henan City Officials recommended him for full scholarship study at Shaolin Temple and by 1996, Shi Kuang Feng recieved a 35th generation disciple degree from Shaolin Temple and attained monk status which was given to him by his teacher. He spent the next eleven years training and experiencing as much kung fu as he could at the Shaolin Temple, not only the Shaolin style. He now resides in America and continues teaching Shaolin Kung Fu in Miami,Florida. He is only willing to teach those who seek the shaolin path. For his teacher always said that "the Shaolin path is available to all those who truely seek it."
| His Shaolin name "Shi Kuang Feng" means "Fierce Wind"

The Chinese term that translates into "military art" is "Wu Shu." As with all martial arts, Wushu in its early stages of development was practiced primarily for self-defense and for aquiring basic needs. As time progressed, innumerable people tempered and processed Wushu in different ways. By China's Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911), Wushu had formed its basic patterns.
